These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services. By requesting an estimate, booking a move, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

Estimates & Scheduling

  • Estimates are based on the information you provide (inventory, access conditions, distance, timing, and special requests).

  • Final charges may change if job conditions differ from what was provided (additional items, extra stops, stairs/long carries not disclosed, access delays, etc.).

  • Reservation times are subject to availability and may be adjusted due to traffic, weather, building restrictions, or prior job timing.

  • Deposits (Local Moves)

  • A $100 deposit is required to reserve your move date and time.

  • The deposit is applied toward your final bill on move day.

  • The deposit is refundable if you cancel more than 48 hours before your scheduled move.

  • If the move is cancelled within 48 hours, the deposit is kept.

 

Long-Distance Payment, Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Long-distance moves require 50% up front and 50% due upon arrival at the final destination.

  • The 50% up-front payment is refundable if cancelled more than 7 days before pickup.

  • If cancelled within 7 days of pickup, the up-front payment is kept.

  • One reschedule is allowed if requested more than 7 days before pickup, based on availability.

 

Billing, Time Increments, Travel Time & Minimums

  • Time is billed hourly in 15-minute increments.

  • Travel time is billed and includes:

    • drive time to the pickup location,

    • drive time to the drop-off location, and

    • return drive time back to our office.

  • Minimum charge: 1.5 hours plus travel time. If on-site work takes less than 1.5 hours (for example, 45 minutes), the 1.5-hour minimum plus travel time applies.

  • Additional waiting time caused by access delays (elevators, keys, parking, building rules, customer readiness, etc.) may be billable.

 

Customer Responsibilities

To help your move go smoothly, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate addresses, contact details, and move information

  • Ensure safe and legal parking/loading access (and obtain permits if required)

  • Secure pets and keep pathways clear

  • Disconnect appliances and electronics before arrival (unless arranged otherwise)

  • Pack items securely unless you have booked packing services

  • Identify fragile, high-value, or special-care items in advance

 

Prohibited or Restricted Items

We may refuse to transport items that are unsafe, illegal, or hazardous, including (but not limited to) explosives, flammables, firearms/ammunition, hazardous chemicals, and perishable food. If you have questions about an item, ask before move day.

 

Damage Claims & Liability

  • We take care to protect your items, but moving involves inherent risk.

  • Please notify us of any damage concerns as soon as possible and before the crew leaves when feasible.

  • Claims must be submitted in writing to Hello@CharlestonPremierMovers.com within [3] days of delivery/completion 

  • Liability may be limited by applicable law and/or the service agreement for your move. Some items (pressboard/particleboard furniture, previously damaged items, self-packed boxes, items with hidden damage, etc.) may not be fully covered.

 

Delays, Weather, and Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or inability to perform due to events beyond our control (severe weather, road closures, accidents, government orders, natural disasters, etc.). We will communicate and reschedule when possible.

 

Tips / Gratuity

Tips are not required, but they are greatly appreciated if you feel our crew provided an above-and-beyond move. Thank you for your support.

 

Website Use

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with site functionality.

 

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or services after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

 

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict of law rules.
